FAQ

What is Bouldering?
Bouldering is rock climbing stripped down to its rawest form. Leaving behind ropes and harnesses, climbers need only climbing shoes and a bag of chalk. The
challenge is to climb short, but tricky bouldering "problems" (a route of a sequence of moves) using balance, technique, strength + strategy. Bouldering is not only a hobby, but a lifestyle. This full body workout will push you to new fitness levels. You can make it as hard or easy as you decide. No matter what level you are, there's a route for you.
Do I need climbing shoes to climb?
No, but it makes an incredible difference in your experience. Imagine playing basketball on a wood court and you had to use metal cleats. The difference in performance would be extremely noticeable.
What do you use as your grading scale?
Each route is tagged using either an E, M, H (easy, medium, hard).  A + or - indicates the range of difficulty within each grade.  For those who use the V-Scale, the V rating is posted on each tag as well. See our grading below.

E...V0 to V2
E+...V2+ to V3
M-...V3+ to V4
M...V4+ to V6
M+...V6+ to V8
H-...V8+ to v9
H...V9+ to V10

Can I drop my kids off to climb?

Do I need to sign a waiver?
